Press release - 9 October 2024
A team at CMS Vienna, headed by partner Georg Gutfleisch (Corporate Transactions, Real Estate), has provided extensive legal advice to European venture capital fund 3VC on its investment in fynk GmbH, a Vienna-based legal tech start-up that develops AI-driven contract management software.
For 3VC, which led the successful EUR 3.1 million seed round, this investment further underscores its mission of supporting exceptional founders in solving significant problems with scalable, impactful technologies. Co-investors included 10x Founders and the Hans(wo)men Group. “Integrating AI technologies into contract management software is game-changing. It streamlines contract analysis, review and tracking in ways unthinkable not long ago. Fynk has developed a tool that facilitates state-of-the-art contract management, previously reserved for large organisations with the necessary manpower, for SMEs,” says Peter Lasinger, a co-founder and partner at 3VC. The investment will enable the Vienna-based start-up to accelerate product development and continue to expand its presence in the international market.
In addition to Georg Gutfleisch, the CMS experts who assisted in the transaction were partner Andrea Potz (Employment), lawyer Christina Maria Schwaiger (Data Protection), and associates Alexandros Hantasch and Rebecca Herlitz (both Corporate Transactions). Fynk was advised by Thomas Kulnigg and Dominik Tyrybon (Schönherr Vienna).
“We are happy to have advised 3VC on its investment in the founder team of fynk and look forward to further advances in AI-driven contract management with great interest,” says Georg Gutfleisch, a partner at CMS and member of the Corporate Transactions team in Vienna.
