Andrea Potz is an Employment lawyer and has been a partner at CMS in Vienna since 2019; she has been a member of the employment law team since 2010.
Potz provides comprehensive advice in all areas of labour law and represents employers in court and before administrative authorities. Her main areas of expertise are personnel management, equal treatment and diversity. She is a sought-after contact for all employment law issues in the (tertiary) education sector, especially at universities. She also advises numerous clients in the pharmaceutical industry, the electrical and electronics industry and the IT sector.
Potz completed her diploma and doctoral studies in law as well as a second degree in ancient history and classics at the University of Vienna. During her one-year study stay at the KU Leuven in Belgium, she focused mainly on the areas of European and procedural law. She also worked as a university assistant at the Institute for Austrian and European Labour and Social Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Andrea Potz has authored many labour law publications and lectures regularly at the Institute for Austrian and European Labour and Social Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
