CMS advises VVV Next Gen Storage on Trastikovo Storage System 2 in Bulgaria

CMS has advised VVV Next Gen Storage in relation to Trastikovo Storage System 2, a battery energy storage system (BESS) which has now been successfully commissioned and is operational in Bulgaria.

The project has a 10 MW power capacity and 40 MWh energy storage capacity, providing a four-hour discharge duration, and is connected to the grid at 20 kV medium voltage.

Trastikovo Storage System 2 was developed by VVV Next Gen Storage, part of VVV GROUP, and is operated and managed by VVV Quantum Energy.

The successful commissioning of the project marks another important milestone in the development of battery energy storage infrastructure in Bulgaria and the continued expansion of VVV’s energy storage portfolio.

The CMS team was led by Borislava Piperkova and Kostadin Sirleshtov,  and included Atanas Bangachev (Corporate); Jonathan Chu (IP); Vaska Solakova and Emil Karasanov (Real Estate); Alexander Rangelov (Tax); and Viktoriya Dimitrova, Lyuba Bozova-Peshovska, Stoyana Petrova, Niya Ivanova and Boris Kirov (Energy, Projects and Construction).
