CMS assists on acquisition of 11 greenfield BESS projects with 440 MWh capacity in Bulgaria
CMS Sofia assisted VVV NextGen Storage Ltd. (Cyprus) on the successful acquisition of seven SPVs owning 11 greenfield BESS projects, developed by the Bulgarian companies Power Profit JSCo and AIM Profit JSCo, with 440 MWh capacity in Bulgaria.
The work involved full LDDR of the projects and the SPVs, negotiations on the SPA and FDI approval by the Republic of Bulgaria.
It is expected that the projects will be operational by the end of H1 2026.
The CMS Sofia team was led by partner Borislava Piperkova and managing partner Kostadin Sirleshtov, supported by partners Atanas Bangachev and Jonathan Chu (Hong Kong), and included Vaska Solakova, Viktoriya Dimitrova-Toneva, Lyuba Bozova-Peshovska, Stoyana Petrova, Niya Ivanova and Boris Kirov (Energy, Projects and Construction); Alexander Rangelov (Corporate); and Emil Karasanov (Real Estate).
