Climate change, resource depletion and pollution threaten the future of our planet. Preserving a largely intact environment for future generations can only be achieved by taking united action.
We at CMS also bear responsibility towards the environment through our business activities, especially around mobility and the use of energy and resources. We are therefore committed to organising our activities and business practices in such a way that we protect natural resources and avoid negative impacts on the environment as far as possible.
The further steps we have planned for an environmentally friendly business are outlined in our Environmental Policy.
We have already taken significant action and are gradually establishing other environmentally friendly practices in our everyday office life. Examples include extending digital working methods and printing out as few documents as possible, applying environmental criteria when purchasing office materials, and obtaining electricity from renewable sources.
Although face-to-face interaction with clients and colleagues is an important part of our job profile, we are increasingly using online meetings to reduce the number of business trips. When choosing the means of transport, we take ecological aspects into consideration and seek to minimise air travel. Our Green Travel Policy provides the relevant framework.
We have calculated our CO2 footprint (scope 1–3) to quantify how our business activities affect the climate. This allows us to identify areas where we can improve our environmental performance.
