CMS Sustainability Report
We see sustainability as a continuous process of development, as part of which we consider both the impact of our own business activities and the social and economic aspects of our actions. The issues we address include environmental management, the use of resources, mobility, procurement, terms of employment, diversity and equal opportunities as well as social engagement.
Our 2026 Sustainability Report provides transparency on our key areas of focus in the field of ESG, the measures we are taking and selected key performance indicators. The report is based on the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs (VSME) issued by the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) and was compiled in accordance with both the core and supplementary modules. In addition, we have incorporated or updated selected content from our previous reports in accordance with the German Sustainability Code (DNK). The report concerns the reporting year 2025.
Our aim here is not to present as favourable a portrayal as possible, but rather to set out clearly what foundations we have already laid, what we are currently working on and which areas need further development. Not all data and processes are comprehensive yet, which is precisely why it is important for us to be transparent about the progress we have made and the outstanding issues.
Our EMAS-validated environmental management system, introduced in 2025, forms an important foundation. It helps us identify key environmental matters, implement measures and regularly review our environmental performance. We document selected environmental indicators in our EMAS environmental statement.
In our 2026 Sustainability Report and the EMAS environmental statement, we provide regular updates on our activities and their development. Both reports are intended to help explain our approach.
