Munich – Space start-up Isar Aerospace, developer and manufacturer of launch vehicles for transporting small and medium-sized satellites, has completed a Series C financing round of around EUR 155 million. To date in 2023, this is the largest financing round in the space tech sector globally and increases Isar Aerospace's financing volume to a total of around EUR 310 million. In addition to 7-Industries, the round is backed by the venture capital fund of the Free State of Bavaria Bayern Kapital with its ScaleUp-Fonds Bayern, Porsche SE and other investors. With the capital raised, the Bavarian company plans to intensify its development and to establish and scale up production capabilities, with the aim of carrying out the inaugural flight of its "Spectrum" launch vehicle before the end of the second half of 2023.
