CMS advises ALP.X Group on joint venture and investment in one of Munich's largest urban development projects
Cologne – ALP.X Group and a fund advised by Ginkgo Advisor have, as part of a joint venture, acquired an approx. 85,000 square metre site in one of Munich's most significant urban development projects, the future GUTE UTA neighbourhood on Rappenweg in Munich-Trudering. Working in close collaboration with Bayerische Hausbau Development, the joint venture is now responsible for the development of the site as part of one of the most significant urban development projects in the Bavarian capital. Between 2,000 and 2,700 flats will be built on the project area, which covers approx. 25.5 hectares. Around half of the flats will be social housing.
A CMS team led by Laura Christin Stein provided comprehensive legal advice to ALP.X Group on the transaction. ALP.X Group has relied on the expertise of CMS in the past. The advisory services covered the legal aspects under German law and Luxembourg law of structuring and implementing the joint venture and the acquisition of the development site. The CMS team oversaw the preparation of all transaction documentation.
