Cologne – Asset managers CAM Alternatives and Altamar Capital Partners, who specialise in private equity, real estate and infrastructure, have joined forces to form a new company called Altamar CAM Partners. The cross-border merger brings together assets under management totalling EUR 14 billion.
An international CMS team headed by lead partners Dr Thomas Sonnenberg and Dr Malte Bruhns advised CAM Alternatives on all legal and tax aspects of the complex transaction in a regulated sector. CAM Alternatives also relied on CMS advice with regard to previous strategic transactions, with Dr Thomas Sonnenberg and Dr Malte Bruhns playing lead roles in advising CAM on the acquisition of DB Private Equity GmbH from DWS in 2018.
