Berlin – Flex Capital, a private equity fund focusing on the tech mid-market, has acquired a majority stake in Nitrado (marbis GmbH), a game hosting and server software specialist. The parties agreed not to disclose details.
A CMS team led by partners Dr Jörg Zätzsch and Jesko Nobiling advised Flex Capital on all legal aspects of the transaction. The SME private equity fund regularly relies on the expertise of CMS. The law firm’s previous instructions include the fund’s first investment in QR code specialist Egoditor.
Berlin-based Flex Capital was set up in 2019. The private equity fund invests in high-growth, profitable tech companies from the German SME sector.
Nitrado is based in Karlsruhe and was established in 2012. The company operates a hosting infrastructure for multi-player games and develops software applications for server management, monitoring and security.
