Huy Do Chi advises German and international clients on all aspects of IT and data law, in particular on software issues, including open source software, personal and non-personal data (GDPR and Data Act), AI (AI Act) and cyber security (Cyber Resilience Act).

Huy has wide-ranging experience in drafting and negotiating technology-related contracts, in particular software, licence, IT project and outsourcing agreements. He has handled numerous contract negotiations in complex IT projects and also represents the interests of his clients in IT projects that encounter difficulties. In addition, Huy specialises in advising on IT and data protection issues in M&A transactions, in particular transitional services agreements. He also regularly advises companies on digital business models and emerging trends as they arise, e.g., related to online platforms, e-health, e-mobility, data economy and the Internet of Things.

Huy joined CMS in 2017 and was made counsel in 2023.
