Frankfurt/Main – Mani, Inc., the Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed producer of medical devices, has agreed to acquire Schütz Dental GmbH and GDF Gesellschaft für dentale Forschung und Innovationen GmbH, based in Rosbach v.d.Höhe, Germany, from BayernLB Private Equity and the management. The transaction is expected to close in May 2015. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

A team of CMS in Germany led by Dr. Heike Wagner and Till Liebau has advised Mani in this transaction, which marks the establishment of Mani's first subsidiary outside Asia.

Schütz Group is a leading producer of dental restorative material. Schütz offers state-of-the-art technology of restorative materials, market-leading digital work flow systems and implants.

Mani, Inc. is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Headquartered in Utsunomiya, Japan, it has additional production sites in Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos, and markets its medical products such as surgical and dental instruments worldwide.
