Frankfurt/Main – Funds advised by PINOVA Capital GmbH acquired a majority shareholding in Pavelsbach-based IREMA-Filter GmbH on 31 August 2022. The family owners of the business and the management team both reinvested in the company via the buyer.
IREMA is a leading international manufacturer of patented filter solutions, delivering high value add to its customers due to the depth of its full vertical integration. It is one of the few suppliers worldwide to have its own engineering department and extensive expertise in producing filter media as well as ready-to-use filters. Its subsidiary, Aeolus Filter Corporation, North Carolina, serves the North American market with both IREMA filter materials and filters from its own production. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Hendrik Hirsch advised PE investor Pinova on all legal aspects of the transaction, including reinvestment by the sellers and the management stock option programme.
