Hamburg – Universal-Investment has acquired a retail portfolio of around 90 properties valued at EUR 687 million for the Bayerische Versorgungskammer pension scheme. The portfolio was assembled for investors by CORESTATE Capital as part of its club deal programme. It is now being sold in a share deal via German and Luxembourg companies to a fund established by Universal-Investment for Bayerische Versorgungskammer.
CORESTATE Capital will take over asset management for Universal-Investment following the transaction. The deal is currently awaiting approval from Germany’s Federal Cartel Office.
A team headed by lead partners Dr Sebastian Orthmann and Heinrich Schirmer provided Universal-Investment with legal advice on all aspects of the transaction.
