Daniel Voigt specialises in structuring and advising open-end and closed-end funds, with a focus on the increasingly important regulatory aspects affecting funds, their managers, depositaries as well as investors. On the asset side, he mainly focuses on alternative investments, e.g. real estate, private equity, debt, infrastructure and renewable energy. Daniel also advises regulated investors, such as insurance companies and pension schemes, on their fund investments.
Daniel Voigt contributes regularly to specialist journals, co-authors a standard commentary on investment law and is member of the scientific advisory board of the journal Recht der Finanzinstrumente (Law of Financial Instruments). He started his legal career in 2006 and joined CMS in 2013 as a partner.
