Hamburg – Warburg Bank has sold all the shares in Warburg Invest AG to Bantleon AG as part of adopting a more focused strategy on institutional asset management. Warburg Invest AG is a German investment management company that offers a comprehensive range of services covering both the Master KVG sector and conventional funds. Its clients include insurance companies, pension funds, savings banks, family offices and asset managers in Germany. The company offers its investors a wide range of sustainable investment solutions around equity and bond fund management. Its 97 employees manage around EUR 18 billion. It also has assets under administration (AuA) of more than EUR 24 billion. Warburg Invest KAG mbH, an investment management company owned by the Hamburg-based Warburg Group, is not included in the transaction and will continue to provide institutional asset management within the Warburg Group. It will also carry on the current successful cooperation with Warburg Invest AG on ongoing mandates.
The transaction is currently awaiting approval from the relevant authorities. The details of the transaction were not disclosed.
