Stuttgart – Black Forest-based ebm-papst St. Georgen GmbH & Co. KG has acquired ZEITLAUF GmbH Antriebstechnik & Co KG of Franconia. The parties have not disclosed the purchase price. The acquisition is currently awaiting approval from the competition authorities.
A team led by lead partner and M&A expert Dr Peter Baisch advised ebm-papst on all legal aspects of the transaction.
Motor and fan specialist ebm-papst is aiming to strengthen its Industrial Drive Engineering division via this acquisition. The company generated global sales of some EUR 1.4 billion in the last financial year. With about 280 employees, ZEITLAUF Antriebstechnik posted turnover of around EUR 33 million in the last financial year. Its product range includes planetary, spur and angle gearheads.
