Carl Werner advises lenders and borrowers on cross-border structured finance transactions, principally in the area of asset, project, acquisition and corporate finance.

Carl also advises regularly on English maritime law matters, in particular advising owners and charterers on a wide range of English law governed maritime agreements (e.g. charterparties, bills of lading, pooling agreements and ship management contracts) and represents clients in English law governed arbitration proceedings.

Carl qualified as a solicitor in Victoria, Australia in 2001 and worked for more than ten years at a global international law firm in Melbourne (Australia), Frankfurt and London before joining CMS in 2013. He is a Counsel in our Hamburg office.
