CMS advises WBS Power on the sale of Germany's largest co-location BESS and solar PV project to Prime Capital and on strategic joint venture for hyperscale data centre

Hamburg – WBS Power GmbH has sold the integrated energy infrastructure project Jupiter to Prime Capital. The project comprises a 500 MW/2,000 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) and up to 150 MWp of solar PV and is currently the largest co-location PV and BESS project in Germany. The parties are simultaneously establishing a joint venture to develop a hyperscale data centre with a planned capacity of 500 MW at the same site.

A CMS team led by Dr Holger Kraft, Matthias Sethmann and Dr Christoph Küster advised WBS on all legal aspects of the transaction.

WBS Power is a cross-border energy developer focussing on BESS, solar PV, onshore wind and digital infrastructure. Prime Capital is an independent asset manager with special expertise in the field of energy infrastructure.
