The CMS Construction team invites you to Construction Focus On: Insurance.
The Scottish construction industry has seen a tightening in the insurance market with the increasing cost of premiums and limitations being introduced on broad policy wording- in particular, a hardening market post Grenfell has been further impacted by Covid-19.
In this hour-long session, we will navigate market trends in the context of contract formation and will examine key cases coming out of the Courts. We will consider the impact of the Building Safety Bill and the increasing focus on cladding and fire safety in the professional indemnity insurance market.
We will then look forward to the issues we anticipate arising for the insurance market for the remainder of 2021 and beyond.
