Join us from 8:30am on 12 February 2026 at our Edinburgh Office for breakfast and some lively discussion on career progression and social mobility.

This event is hosted by our Women’s and Social Mobility Networks and is inspired by the themes for International Women's Day for 2025 "Accelerate Action" and 2026 "Give To Gain", which emphasises the power of reciprocity and support to forge gender equality. We are going to think about ways that we can accelerate action for social mobility in these challenging economic times and also challenge ourselves to consider ways to give to others so we all gain.

The event will showcase individual stories, concluding with a panel discussion and our speakers talking about personal challenges, the impact of social position on career and what this means in the current climate of cutbacks on D,E & I funding and political challenges – where are we now?

Our speakers include:

  • Jade Wilson, Associate at CMS
  • Heather Inglis, Inclusion and Community Manager at Aegon
  • Regan Brown, Trainee solicitor at CMS
