In this webinar, recorded by Olswang LLP on 21 June 2016, we look at the proposed Portability Regulation. This proposed Regulation, which the European Commission aims to bring into force by 2017, creates an obligation for providers of online audiovisual content to enable subscribers who are temporarily present in a different EU Member State to access those services across borders.
Presented by Senior Associate Tomos Jones, the session considers:
- which services are affected;
- the meaning of "temporarily present";
- the quality of service provided outside the "home" EU Member State;
- contractual portability provisions; and
- restricted acts in other territories – the legal fiction.
