26 January 2022

CMS partner and Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications at CMS, Clive Gringras, has been appointed to the Technology Advisory Board of Our Future Health, the UK’s largest health research programme.

Our Future Health is designed to help people live healthier lives for longer through the discovery and testing of more effective approaches to prevention, earlier detection and treatment of diseases and health conditions such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes and stroke. A major focus will be developing approaches for identifying diseases such as cancer and heart disease before they become symptomatic.

The Technology Advisory Board will provide valuable advice on important decisions related to the Our Future Health platform and digital interfaces to ensure that they work in a sustainable, agile and effective way. They will provide critique and challenge to the programme’s plans and help to address specific technology questions and challenges. The board will cover a range of topics, including data privacy, cyber resilience, software development, accessibility and data science.

Clive Gringras said: “It is an honour to be appointed to the Technology Advisory Board for this pioneering research programme. I look forward to working with Our Future Health and fellow Board members to help shape and guide the digital platforms to ensure they’re secure, sustainable, and fit for purpose. I’m very proud to be part of this vital research programme which is helping to transform the prevention, detection and treatment of diseases that sadly impact so many of us and our loved ones.”

Marko Balabanovic, Chief Technology Officer at Our Future Health, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Clive to the Technology Advisory Board and I look forward to working in collaboration with him and the other Board Members to deliver an exceptional programme. Together we will work to ensure that we have a set of technology platforms for both participants and researchers that are safe, secure and can scale over time.”
