International law firm CMS is pleased to announce the appointment of Infrastructure, Construction and Energy (ICE) Disputes partner Jeremie Witt, who re-joins the firm to support its international growth efforts. Witt, who previously worked in the firm’s Dubai and Singapore offices, will be based in Australia.

CMS’ Head of ICE Disputes, Adrian Bell, says: “We are delighted to welcome Jeremie back to the firm. Jeremie is an experienced and versatile practitioner with a proven track-record in international disputes. As we look to enhance our Asia proposition, Jeremie will be a key asset for us, working alongside our APAC teams in Singapore and Hong Kong, whilst capitalising on the infrastructure boom and other opportunities afforded by the Australian and wider APAC market.”

Witt is a highly experienced advocate in complex disputes and has significant experience as an advocate before courts and arbitral tribunals. He joined CMS in Dubai in 2014, and latterly moved to CMS in Singapore to lead the ICE Disputes team, and advises on contentious and non-contentious construction, energy and infrastructure matters. He has particular experience acting for purchasers, suppliers and consultants with a focus on disputes in the MENA and APAC regions.

Witt comments: “I am excited to be re-joining my colleagues at CMS and working alongside the ICE Disputes team to strengthen the practice globally. The team in Asia has been growing at a rapid rate, supported by a string of significant mandates, and I look forward to capitalising on this momentum to build up our proposition in Asia.”
