We are pleased to invite you to our Constructing a secure future: Cyber Risks in the Modern Construction Industry event, taking place on Tuesday 30 June at our CMS London office.
The construction industry’s growing reliance on data, connected systems and digital technologies, whilst transformative, is also increasing the potential for cyber risk. From ransomware attacks that can impact and halt major projects to data breaches compromising sensitive design information and personal data, the threats are real and evolving.
A panel of experts from CMS will examine the legal, regulatory and practical challenges of both preparing for, and responding to, a cyber-attack at every stage of the project lifecycle. Lucy Thomas, a Cyber and Tech Insurance Broker from Gallagher will join the panellists to provide an external perspective on the current cyber risk landscape and the role of specialist cyber insurance.
The session will explore:
- The key vulnerabilities inherent in modern construction operations
- Practical guidance on contractual risk allocation, regulatory compliance and incident response planning
- The insurance implications of a cyber event
This is a must-attend session for anyone working in construction, engineering, project management or technology, as well as those operating at the intersection of these sectors. We would encourage you to forward this invitation to any colleagues who may benefit from the discussion.
Guest Speaker
- Lucy Thomas, Director and Solicitor, Gallagher.
