Ada Lee is a Senior Associate in the Restructuring & Insolvency Team in London. Ada has experience advising creditors, borrowers and insolvency practitioners in matters ranging from transactional banking to contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency. Her sector experience includes construction, aviation, insurance, technology, leisure and car dealerships. 

Prior to joining CMS in 2022, she worked as a restructuring and insolvency solicitor at Dentons in Sydney, head of engagement at the Australia Malaysia Business Council in Sydney, a journalist and editor in Sydney and Bangkok, and in the Co-Investigating Judge’s chambers of the United Nations Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Phnom Penh.

  • The administrators in relation to the pre-packaged sale of an artificial intelligence company, including advising on issues arising under the National Security and Investment Act 2021.
  • The lender in relation to the debt restructuring of a video platform company.
  • The administrators of an energy company in relation to a remuneration challenge.
    The liquidators of a pharmaceutical company in relation to creditor claims.
  • The insolvency practitioners advising on the restructuring options of a Pacific airline with a debt exposure of GBP 145m.
  • The lender in relation to the documentation, restructuring and standstill of transactions of up to GBP 45m to various borrowers including property developers, tourism operators, hotel operators and car dealerships.
  • The liquidator of a tech start-up in relation to a contractual dispute with the purchaser of the business.
  • The bankruptcy trustee in relation to the realisation of assets and creditor priority disputes.
  • The insurer in relation to an insurance indemnity claim by a liquidator arising from a fraudulently obtained loan.
