Adam is an Associate in the London Corporate team. Adam specialises in international and domestic M&A transactions in a variety of sectors with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. He advises developers, infrastructure funds, pension funds and other financial investors on a broad range of transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and equity investments.

Relevant experience

  • Green Bess Developments (UK) Limited on their sale of a 1GW portfolio of development stage battery storage assets in the UK, subject to satisfaction of customary completion conditions.
  • AXA on its acquisition of a 50% interest in the Coalburn 1 BESS project from CIP, a 500MW transmission connected BESS asset in Scotland, including subsequent joint venture arrangements, subject to customary closing conditions.
  • Brookfield Asset Management on the sale of its stake in First Hydro Company, which owns the Dinorwig and Ffestiniog pumped hydro plants in Wales with a combined capacity of over 2 GW, to CDPQ.
  • InfraRed Capital Partners on its £200m+ disposal of a portfolio of five assets, including interests in the Hornsea Two OFTO and four PFI projects, to John Laing, and on its acquisition of interests in the N17 / N18 Gort to Tuam PPP road project in Ireland, and the A417/A419 Swindon-Gloucester and A1 (M) Alconbury-Peterborough PFI road projects in the UK.
  • Transmission Investment LLP (and its members) on its disposal of its interests in Fab Link Limited (the UK development rights holder to the proposed France, Alderney, Britain interconnector) and Transmission Investment Holdings Limited (an OFTO services provider).
  • NatWest Pension Trustee Limited on its £350m+ disposal of a 50% interest in Phoenix Natural Gas, owner of c.40% of the gas distribution network in Northern Ireland.
  • Norges Bank on its acquisition of a 37.5% indirect interest in Race Bank Wind Farm Limited.
  • NatWest Pension Trustee Limited on its disposal of a portfolio of seven anaerobic digestion, Energy from Waste plants.
  • The Renewables Infrastructure Group on its disposal of interests in the Forss and Little Raith onshore wind farms.
