Alex is an associate in the Banking and Finance team at CMS, based in Manchester. He advises lenders, borrowers and sponsors on a wide range of UK and cross border financing transactions, including corporate and leveraged finance, real estate finance, restructurings and platform lending. His experience spans general corporate lending, TMT finance, acquisition and real estate finance, project finance and structured finance, including securitisations and EMTN programmes. He also advises on the finance related aspects of cryptocurrency and blockchain based transactions.

Alex regularly acts for UK clearing banks, international financial institutions, private credit providers, corporates and growth businesses on bilateral and syndicated facilities, refinancings and amendments. He has particular sector experience advising restaurant and leisure operators, alongside broader expertise in technology, residential real estate and emerging growth businesses. Clients value his clear commercial judgement, hands on transaction management and practical, responsive approach. Alex trained and was a junior lawyer at a Magic Circle in London before joining CMS.

Alex advises major UK and international banks, specialist lenders, private credit providers, leading corporates, SMEs, founders and private clients across the full lifecycle of their financing needs.
