Anna is a Senior Associate in the Infrastructure, Construction, and Energy Disputes team based in CMS’ London office.

Anna advises clients on dispute avoidance, management, and resolution of commercial disputes in the energy and construction sectors. Her experience includes advising clients on high-value commercial litigation, arbitration (under institutional bodies such as the ICC, LCIA, and ad hoc arbitrations under the UNCITRAL Rules), expert determination, and mediation.

Admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales, Anna has also completed an in-house secondment with ExxonMobil.

  • An international contractor in relation to a potential dispute against the employer concerning the construction and use of a fertilizer plant in Nigeria.
  • An Israeli independent power producer in an arbitration governed by Israeli law concerning the pricing of natural gas under a long-term sale and purchase agreement after a significant regulatory change that impacted the price formula. LCIA arbitration seated in London, England.
  • An Israeli independent power producer in an arbitration governed by Israeli law concerning the termination of a gas sale and purchase agreement. ICC arbitration seated in London, England.
  • A transmission system operator and pipeline owner in an expert determination concerning 'fair commercial terms' for renewal of a long-term contract for shipping natural gas under an international treaty and contractual option to extend.
  • An energy company in an arbitration governed by Australian law relating to the redetermination of participants' participating interests in a mega LNG project in Asia, which required a redetermination of ownership of the project and LNG sold. UNCITRAL arbitration seated in Melbourne, Australia.
  • A Japanese contractor in relation to multiple arbitration proceedings against the employer and supply chain concerning delay claims and additional compensation, arising from the construction of a multi-billion dollar refinery project in KSA. Sums in dispute exceed US$1 billion. ICC and UNCITRAL arbitrations seated in Dubai, UAE and Al Khobar, KSA.
  • An independent oil and gas company in an arbitration with its joint venture partner over a disputed participating interest share in an Iraqi TSC, worth over US$120m. ICC arbitration seated in London, England.
  • An independent oil and gas company in an arbitration concerning the termination of a series of service contracts in Chad for civil works. ICC arbitration seated in London, England.
  • A North Sea operator on various disputes concerning a transportation, processing, and operating services agreement in relation to a North Sea field.
  • TAQA Bratani, JX Nippon, and Spirit Energy in relation to a High Court dispute concerning the right to remove the Operator, RockRose under the terms of the JOA (TAQA Bratani Limited and Others v RockRose UKCS8 LLC [2020] EWHC 58 (Comm)).
  • Shell U.K. Limited as one of three successful defendants in relation to expedited High Court proceedings against Apache North Sea concerning the proper interpretation of decommissioning security agreement provisions (Apache North Sea v NEO, Esso, Shell, and BP [2023] EWHC 1345 (Comm)).
