Brad is a senior associate in the Construction and Engineering Department.

Brad specialises in advising in relation to construction and engineering projects, both international and domestic and both public and private, acting for employers/clients, contractors, bidding consortia, lenders, occupiers and professional consultants.  He has considerable experience in drafting, negotiating and undertaking due diligence with respect to contracts for such projects whether bespoke or based on industry forms of standard contract (e.g. JCT, NEC and FIDIC).

Relevant experience

  • Contractors and their insurers and occupiers in relation to contracts for the remediation of cladding systems suspected of being defective. 
  • A multi-billion pound investment fund across its UK property portfolio: advising, drafting and negotiating for new developments and providing due diligence support for acquisitions and transactions. 
  • BOC in the supply and installation by it of systems for the storage of wood pellets for incineration at various power stations in England. 
  • An LNG terminal owner in respect of the procurement of a co-gen power unit with an EPC contract, a separate turbine supply contract and a service agreement. 
  • National Grid Property on land remediation projects across its UK property portfolio providing legal support for the procurement of numerous land remediation projects procured using framework contracts based on NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract.
  • On a variety of developments including the refurbishment of the Fry Building at the University of Bristol, a 42 floor residential tower at 251 Southwark Bridge Road, a facility for Coca-Cola Enterprises, a redevelopment for Sainsbury’s at New Cross, the rebuilding of the historic Wedgwood factory and space at Canary Wharf.
