Brett is a Senior Associate in the London Corporate team. Brett specialises in international and domestic M&A transactions in a variety of sectors with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. He advises developers, infrastructure funds, pension funds and other financial investors on a broad range of transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, equity investments, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.

Relevant experience

  • InfraRed Capital Partners and management sellers on their sale of the UK energy infrastructure developer Statera Energy to EQT.
  • CVC DIF on its acquisition, together with ib vogt, of a 100% interest in a greenfield portfolio of ready-to-build co-located solar and battery projects from Enso Green Holdings Limited. The UK based portfolio is the largest co-location portfolio of solar and (battery) storage in the UK.
  • Ocean Winds on the sale of a minority stake in the 950 MW Moray East Offshore Wind Farm to funds managed by Equitix.
  • Marguerite on its investment into and financing of the EllaLink Transatlantic Sub-sea Cable System providing high capacity fibre from Portugal to Brazil, with points of presence in (amongst other places) Spain, Madeira and Cabo Verde.
  • HICL on the c. £204m disposal of five assets to KKR’s John Laing, an international core infrastructure investor.
  • RWE on the disposal of a 49% stake in the 219 MW Humber Gateway offshore windfarm to Greencoat and the resulting 51/49 joint venture.
  • Marguerite in relation to the divestment of a 29% interest in Conexus Baltic Grid, a Latvian unified natural gas transmission and storage operator to MM Capital Infrastructure.
