Caroline is Knowledge Counsel in the Banking Knowledge Team.  

Caroline has 5+ years’ experience having practiced primarily in restructuring and insolvency, with experience in real estate finance and corporate lending transactions.

In her role as Knowledge Counsel, Caroline supports the Banking team with legal updates and briefings, training, standard form documentation and the development of internal know-how and publications.

Relevant experience

  • A range of complex, multi-jurisdictional restructuring and insolvency matters, including distressed M&A transactions, full balance sheet restructurings (including debt for equity swaps), administrations (including administration sales and advisory work) and other insolvency procedures across multiple sectors including retail, consumer, financial institutions, logistics and manufacturing.
  • Real estate finance and corporate lending matters.
  • A number of stakeholders including creditors, sponsors, corporates and insolvency practitioners. 
  • Caroline was seconded to the loan management unit of a global bank for 7 months between 2020 and 2021.

Education

  • 2015 - Legal Practice Course (accelerated course), University of Law.
  • 2014 - Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Law,  Durham University, Durham.
