Catherine Devine is a Senior Associate in the Insurance and Reinsurance Group in London. Catherine regularly acts for global engineering consultants, architects, UK contractors and their insurers. Catherine’s recent cases include advising engineers/designers on professional negligence claims within the transport, hydropower, sports infrastructure and agricultural sectors. Catherine also acts for construction professionals pursuing and defending cladding and fire-safety disputes in the post-Grenfell landscape. Catherine is currently acting on matters involving contractors, developers, architects, project managers, engineers and fire risk assessors, including litigation both up and down the design supply chain. Catherine is dual-qualified in Scotland and England and spent a year on secondment at a London market insurer adjusting high value complex claims. Catherine also provides coverage advice to insurers on professional negligence matters.
