Cathy is an Of Counsel in the CMS Employee Incentives team with over 15 years’ experience advising clients on their share plans. Cathy assists a full range of clients from start-ups to large listed multinational companies, advising on the design and implementation of a diverse range of share plans including tax and compliance advice. She regularly hosts workshops on share options for start up companies and founders and has presented at Global Equity Organisation events.
As part of her role, Cathy advises clients on the impact of takeovers and investments on share plans, assistance with operating employee benefit trusts and implementing tax advantaged share plan arrangements. Cathy has a wealth of experience working with international share plans, working with ShareReporter and CMS to create an app providing global legal and tax information in over 80 countries.
