Chris is a partner in the London Real Estate team with over 16 years' experience in commercial property, advising a variety of institutional developers, landlords and managers including GPE Plc, The Crown Estate, SEGRO plc, Lendlease and Blue Coast Capital. He regularly advises across office, retail, life science, industrial and mixed use schemes throughout London and the UK in relation to development (from acquisition, site assembly and construction through to pre-lets and disposal), investment transactions (asset, corporate, onshore and offshore) alongside day-to-day asset management work.

Relevant experience

  • GPE on the acquisition of long leasehold interests at The Courtyard, 1/3 Alfred Place, WC1 for GBP 28.6m and The Gable, WC1 for GBP 18m and their ongoing development.
  • The Crown Estate on the formation of a potential GBP 1.5bn partnership with Oxford Science Enterprises and Pioneer Group to support the UK’s science, technology and innovation sectors.
  • Blue Coast Capital on the disposals of Pulse London (a 92,000 sq ft industrial development) and the Ocean Portfolio (a collection of five mid-box industrial units totalling 180,000 sq ft) and the ongoing redevelopment of the Huntingdon Industrial Estate in East London into a nine-storey office block with 13,900m² workspace.
  • Lendlease on the development of the 350,000 sq ft Turing Building at Stratford Cross and its leasing to Everyman Cinemas and Arden University.
