David is a Senior Associate in the Technology and Media team at CMS who has varied experience advising both UK-based and international clients on a wide range of commercial matters, including IT outsourcing agreements, software and SaaS agreements, data protection compliance, collaboration arrangements and other commercial contracts.

Relevant experience

A member of the FTSE 100 in relation to a material outsourcing arrangement in place with a world-leading telecoms provider.
The trustees of a multi-billion pound pension fund belonging to one of the UK’s most successful banks on the engagement one of the world’s leading pension administrators to provide pensions administration services for the scheme.
UEFA in a secondment type role in order to advise on its preparations for the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship, and subsequently advising on contracts required by various divisions within UEFA (principally UEFA’s ICT team) for the successful operation of UEFA’s business, including providing dedicated contract support on a remote basis.
A member of the FTSE 100 in relation to putting in place a critical outsourcing agreement with a market leading telemarketing company.
An exciting and innovative UK data and analytics start-up business under CMS's equIP programme, including preparing a template SaaS agreement to be used with its customers to help best commercialise its data platform.
The Carbon Trust in relation to its various collaborative research, development and deployment programmes involving some of the world’s largest companies that operate in the renewable energy sector.
We played a key role in advising one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers to help put in place a technology transitional services agreement required as a result of the sale of part of its business.
