George is an Associate within the Energy & Climate Change team at CMS, having qualified as a solicitor in 2025. His practice includes advising developers, investors and offtakers on transactional and regulatory matters relating to renewable energy projects.

George was previously seconded to Nuveen, a global asset manager with USD 1.3tn assets under management (USD 30bn of which being infrastructure assets). During his time at Nuveen, George supported the Nuveen Infrastructure platform (previously Glennmont Partners) with the acquisition and disposal of several wind and solar projects across Europe and APAC.

Fidra Energy in relation to the financing of the Thorpe Marsh 1.4GW / 3.1GWh BESS project in South Yorkshire.
A developer on the negotiation of BESS, BOP and LTSA contracts for the development of two BESS projects located in the UK (149.8MW / 502.6MWh).
A clean energy producer on the negotiation of a corporate tripartite PPA.
A South Korean investor and solar expert on its proposed acquisition of a solar farm located in the UK, including leading on grid connection sharing arrangements.
A South Korean asset manager on its acquisition of multiple BESS projects located in the UK.
A developer-operator on the financing of a BESS project located in France.
A pension fund on the sale of its UK onshore wind portfolio to a UK infrastructure investor.
A multinational technology company on its various European PPA arrangements.
