Georgia is an associate in our Technology and Media team. She advises UK based and international clients across the media, sports, technology and video games sectors on a wide range of commercial agreements, with a particular focus on licence agreements, media rights, content production and distribution agreements, software and technology agreements, and agreements supporting the commercialisation and delivery of large scale live events including international sports and esports events. 

Relevant experience

  • Esports World Cup Foundation on the delivery of the Esports World Cup and Esports Nations Cup, including publisher licensing, media rights and event commercialisation.
  • Large, multinational media and entertainment company on content production, acquisition and distribution arrangements.
  • Large financial institutions and global suppliers on software and technology agreements, and advising global brands on technology, IP and commercial matters.
  • BT on its agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. to form a 50:50 joint venture company to create a new sports offering for the UK and Ireland. 
  • A global television and film producer on advertising restrictions.
  • Comcast on its partnership with African media company MultiChoice Group for the Showmax streaming service, involving advising on the supply of TV content and the provision of services across all markets, as well as due diligence on the existing business.
  • A multinational consumer goods company on a range of commercial contracts, including its agreements with major IT suppliers.
  • Audiobook provider on various commercial and regulatory matters.
