James is an Associate in the Construction and Engineering team, specialising in providing non-contentious construction advice to clients. He has experience across a number of sectors (both public and private), including education, healthcare, offices, housing and retail.
James has experience advising central government, local authorities, global developers, purchasers, tenants, and funders, with a particular focus on central London large scale office development schemes, mixed use development schemes, fit-out projects, and school and hospital projects. James works with developers, consultants and funders on a diverse range of commercial properties and has experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of construction contract documentation, including building contracts (standard form and bespoke), professional appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees and bonds. James has experience across all construction procurement methods, with extensive experience in Construction Management procurement.
James also has experience advising on and drafting construction contracts and consultancy agreements for the new Building Safety Act regime.
