Jennifer Bass (née Lloyd) is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Transactions team at CMS in London. She advises on a wide range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, private equity and venture capital transactions, joint venture arrangements and partnerships. Jennifer has a particular focus on the Life Sciences & Healthcare and Technology, Media & Communications sectors.

Relevant experience

Life Sciences & Healthcare

  • Syncona, the LSE listed life sciences investment fund, on its $475m disposal of diagnostic imaging business Blue Earth Diagnostics to Bracco lmaging.
  • Essential Pharmaceuticals, a pharma business, on the sale to Rosemont Pharmaceuticals of its oral liquids portfolio and the acquisition from Rosemont Pharmaceuticals of a portfolio of products, in each case through a new corporate vehicle.
  • VC funds including Epidarex and Legal & General on various investments in businesses within the life sciences space.

TMT – Technology, Media & Telecommunications

  • FremantleMedia, a global independent TV production company, on numerous acquisitions, including the global production studio, Asacha Media Group and award winning production companies, Element Pictures, 72 Films and Beach House Pictures.  
  • All3Media, a global independent TV and film production, digital and distribution group, on the acquisition of the independent TV production company, Two Brothers Pictures.
  • Merlin, a digital rights agency for independent record labels, on its cross-border merger and associated restructuring.
