Joanna is responsible for knowledge and training for the firm’s dispute resolution team in Scotland. Prior to joining CMS as a professional support lawyer, she practised in commercial litigation for 24 years, developing extensive experience in contract disputes, banking and finance litigation, contentious insolvency, property litigation and tax litigation. Her clients included banks, lenders, professional services firms, corporates and public sector organisations. Joanna was accredited as a specialist in insolvency law by the Law Society of Scotland for ten years.

In her current role, Joanna designs and delivers legal training, provides technical updates and insights, manages knowledge resources and provides guidance on complex legal issues, risk management and compliance matters.

  • Scottish Association of Litigation Support Solicitors.
  • Accredited specialist in Insolvency Law (Law Society of Scotland) 2011-2021.
