John is an Associate in the Real Estate Transactions team, working cross office as part of our ‘One North’ team and also working closely with our London teams. John regularly advises on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions for corporate occupiers and institutional landlords as well specialising in our leisure, telecoms and data centres sectors, and leading the real estate elements of corporate investment deals.

Relevant experience

  • Microsoft on a range of real estate issues relating to its data centre portoflio.
  • Pension Insurance Corporation on two of the largest post-pandemic forward funding transactions each let to the government department for Levelling Up.
  • Institutional investors such as DTZ Investors, Assura, Columbia Threadneedle and Palace Capital on regular asset management, sales and acquisitions of various asset classes.
  • NatWest Group on the disposal of its trust administration business.
  • AECOM on taking high quality sustainable office space.
  • Institutional landlord and corporate occupier clients on a range of high quality office leasing mandates, including 10 Bishopsgate, the Shard, Canary Wharf and Aldgate Tower.
