Josie is experienced advising funders, owners, investors and operators on all aspects of structured acquisition, investment and development property financings, including senior and mezzanine intercreditor dynamics and sale and leaseback arrangements. Josie advises across multiple real estate financing sectors but has particular specialisms in the hotels and healthcare financing sectors. Josie has been praised by clients as being a “a fantastic ambassador for CMS” who is “a go-to person”.

Josie leads the finance initiative for the Energy & Environment Alliance (EEA). Josie is also recognised as a key lawyer by the Legal 500 for the Hospitality and Leisure Sector.

Aviva Investors on a £227 million sustainability-linked refinancing to London investor and developer Romulus.
A hotel owner on cross-collateralised acquisition, development and investment facilities in respect of 14 hotels across 5 jurisdictions.
Q Hotels/Delta management on the refinancing of the Q Hotels portfolio (consisting of 19 hotels) by a syndicate of banks.
Lender on financing of two central London destination hotels.
HSBC on financings of two cross-collateralised BTR schemes in London.
A large healthcare group in its financing arrangements consisting of syndicated facilities and structured sale and leaseback arrangements.
A student accommodation group on restructuring its UK property facilities to enable a large REIT listing.
