Lauren is a partner in the Tax Team with particular expertise in the real estate sector. She has significant experience advising on the tax efficient purchase, development, holding and disposal of UK real estate. She acts for institutional investors, student accommodation providers, private equity funds, REITs and other investment funds on developments, sales and acquisitions of real estate and establishing fund structures.

  • Sun Venture, a Singapore-based real estate investor and developer, on its GBP 552m acquisition of One and Two New Ludgate from Landsec. Occupying a prominent 1.5 acre site next to the Old Bailey, One and Two New Ludgate provides a combined 389,615 sq ft of office and retail accommodation.
  • AXA Investment Managers on the GBP 650m sale of Ropemaker Place, a 21 storey, 602,000 sq ft trophy City of London office development, to Singaporean investor, Ho Bee Land.
  • Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust on the acquisition of a 50% interest in Phase One of Nova Victoria from Canada Pension Plan Investment Board for over GBP 400m.
