Before joining CMS, Mark completed a DPhil and then subsequently worked for a year as a postdoctoral researcher in the Biochemistry and Chemistry departments at Oxford University. Mark's research focussed on the selective partitioning of nucleic acids in phase-separated membraneless organelles, combining various protein expression, RNA-sequencing, and bioinformatic techniques. Prior to this, he obtained a bachelors degree in Natural Sciences, studying Biology and Chemistry, at Durham University.
