Marselia Ong is an Associate in the Corporate and Leveraged Finance team at CMS. She has advised an assortment of lenders, from debt funds to international and domestic banks, on a variety of financings, including bilateral and syndicated facilities, and working capital facilities. Marselia also represents corporate borrowers on various aspects of their financing requirements, both domestic and international. This enables Marselia to bring this cross-market knowledge and experience to quickly find commercial solutions for her clients.

Marselia joined CMS as a trainee in 2023 and completed seats in Asset Finance and Funds and Indirect Real Estate. Marselia was also seconded to the derivatives legal team at Goldman Sachs, London in 2024.

  • A UK commercial bank on its GBP 160m financing of a management buy-out of a leading UK care-home group. 
  • A syndicate of banks on a GPB 135m investment-grade term loan and revolving credit facilities to a digital payments company.
  • English banking counsel to a retail company on a landmark Part 26A restructuring plan enabling a US-listed company to restructure USD 150m in senior unsecured notes through its UK subsidiary.
  • A national provider of care facilities on its working capital facilities.  
  • A leading electric vehicle company on its revolving loan facilities and term loan facility with various multilateral financial institutions.
