Megan is an Associate in the Environment, Health and Safety team in Sheffield. 

Megan assists clients with environmental and health and safety incidents, including advising on engagement with regulators, appeals against enforcement notices, inquests and representation during prosecutions. She also has experience in undertaking due diligence for clients in a range of sectors, and advising on product safety and stewardship matters.

 Megan is a Sustainability Champion and Wellbeing Ambassador for the Sheffield office.

Relevant experience

  • Acting for clients in respect of a number of health and safety prosecutions.
  • Carrying out product audits and advising on labelling, marketing, sale and safety requirements for consumer products such as textiles, toys, cosmetics, food, personal protective equipment and novel nicotine products. 
  • Undertaking environmental and health and safety due diligence on various corporate transactions. 
  • Drafting enforcement undertaking offers in respect of environmental offences and liaising with charities and the Environment Agency in this regard.
  • Preparing horizon scans of new laws in the EU and UK for various clients in relation to environment and product related new laws.
  • Advising companies on ESG reporting and disclosure requirements under the Regulation on Deforestation-free Products, the Batteries Regulation, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.
