Mike is a partner in our Finance and Restructuring team. He advises lenders and borrowers on a wide range of transactions and has particular experience in real estate finance and structured finance in the UK and continental Europe.

Mike has undertaken client secondments to Bayern London Branch and GE Real Estate where he advised on restructuring their UK and European loan books.

  • Brockton Capital on the financing of a wide variety of assets, including west end office, urban street markets, prime residential developments, retail parks and the UK's largest distribution portfolio in 2015.
  • Dekabank on senior lending secured against properties in the retail and office sector.
  • Global Student Accommodation on debt facilities relating to the acquisition of a portfolio from Oaktree Capital Management in the largest student accommodation deal of 2016.
  • Crowd funding platform, a new entrant to the market, on a new type of lending offering.
  • Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board on the financing aspects relating to the £1.1bn acquisition of the Liberty Living student accommodation portfolio including UK term facilities and US loan notes.
  • Shinsei Bank on the participation in a number of debt facilities secured on prime UK assets.
  • Park Lane Properties on the senior and mezzanine financing arrangements relating to Grosvenor House Apartments.
