Miriam Mebarek-Hazelwood

Miriam is an associate in our London office, where she is part of the Corporate Transactions team. Miriam has been with the firm since 2017 and worked in both Dubai and London offices. Miriam holds law degrees from both civil and common law jurisdictions and is English law qualified.

Miriam has experience across energy and technology sectors, advising on cross-border transactions, corporate governance and global expansions, particularly in the Middle East region.

Miriam is trilingual (French, English and Arabic). 

Relevant experience

  • On the acquisition of 12.5% interest in the Hornsea One Offshore Wind Farm by the Renewables Infrastructure Group and Equitix.
  • On the purchase of UK IP-based assets by an American multinational engineering firm.
  • Leading an online global retailer on both UK and UAE:
    • corporate, commercial and regulatory matters;
    • corporate governance matters;
    • investment advice and expansions across the MENA region; and
    • internal reorganisations and structuring.
  • Leading a due diligence on the acquisition of a UAE head-quartered oil and gas hospitality business.
  • Leading a due diligence exercise relating to a non-operated interest in a KRI oil and gas block.
  • A confidential client on an oil and gas due diligence for asset financing in respect of Algerian assets. 
  • Consolidated Contractors Company – Sabbagh Family (London High Court) on disclosure review of French and Arabic legal documents and drafting sections of witness statements. 
  • A major IOC on unitisation issues across various emirates in the United Arab Emirates.
