Nicola is a Senior Associate in the Corporate team based in London with 15 years experience of corporate law with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure. Nicola advises a variety of clients including utilities, developers, pension funds and other financial investors on a broad range of matters including M&A, auctions, joint ventures, cross-border transactions, re-structuring and general corporate advisory work.

Relevant experience

  • Apatura on the sale and development of a portfolio of UK-based battery energy storage system projects to Drax Group for GBP 157.2m.
  • Hunting PLC on the acquisition of Flexible Engineered Solutions, a provider of products and services in the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.
  • Eni S.p.A. on a joint venture with Petronas relating to 14 oil and natural gas fields in Indonesia and Malaysia.
  • Korn Ferry on the acquisition of the recruiter Trilogy International.
  • A global renewable energy company on the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of a solar O&M contractor. This was the largest sale of an O&M business in the UK, with close to 2GW of solar assets under management.
  • A global energy company on a series of sales of solar, battery and wind projects.
  • SSE on the establishment of a joint venture in relation to the H2NorthEast hydrogen project which could deliver up to 355MW of blue hydrogen in the first phase, with plans to scale up to more than 1GW.
  • re:cap global investors on the acquisition of Scurf Dyke, a co located solar and battery project.
  • A big six energy supplier on the establishment of joint venture in relation to a green hydrogen project.
  • bp on the Azule Energy joint venture which combines bp and Eni’s entire upstream and LNG assets in Angola. The project has created one of Africa's largest independent energy companies.
